A 65 years long flight
Since its inauguration on August 20, 1960 - during Italy’s economic boom - Rome Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci” Airport has been growing alongside the nation, becoming Italy’s main gateway to the world. In recent years, it has been repeatedly recognized as the best airport in Europe and among the top worldwide — a benchmark for service quality and innovation.
