Travel information
This section is useful prior to departure in order to make time spent in the airport more comfortable, - from traveler services (check-in, security checkpoints, etc.), to public services (e.g. banks, currency exchange points), shops and dining.
Roma - Ciampino Airport, only 15 kilometers outside Rome, can easily be reached by car, taxi, train, bus or shuttle.
According to DM345/2018, aimed at containing and reducing the noise resulting from aviation traffic, the airport G. B. Pastine of Rome Ciampino is closed to commercial flights (take-offs and landings) in the night time range 23:00 - 06:00. The above does not apply to Rescue/State/humanitarian/emergency/fire flights and civil aircraft operating as State flights under art. 744 (paragraph 4) and art. 746 of the Air Navigation Code.
TERMINAL CLOSING HOURS
- The Departures terminal is closed from 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM.
- The Arrivals terminal is open at night exclusively for passengers holding a valid travel document for a flight within the next 24 hours.
